Responsibilities:
People and Leadership
Manage the administration department at the Burnside plant consisting of two salaried employees in addition to managing a shared Safety Coordinator resource.
Develop Pillar Teams towards autonomy, ownership and contributing to the plant overall business objectives
Mentor and train teams around continuous improvement
Development of the Burnside Training and Qualification Program
Leads operation team through mentoring and coaching
Activity participates on the leadership team
Instrumental in driving core values across the site
Key advocate for WCO becoming the way we do our work
Prepares new employees for assignments by establishing and conducting orientation and training programs
Maintains the HR SAP, DRS and MyLearning structures by updating job requirements and job descriptions for all positions throughout the facility
Responsible for administrative backup capability and succession plan
Safety and Core Manufacturing Objectives
Seen as a safety leader who demonstrates Safety as a Core Value
Develop on-site safety coordinator and team, strong advocate of measures, metrics, and participation
Supports cost savings initiatives across the site and help to reduce plant spending
Support Environmental sustainability through green reduction goals
World Class Operations
Lead improvement methodology leadership.
Pro-actively leverages WCO tools towards operational improvements
Provides WCO guidance to others
Business Ownership/Plant Strategies
Provides behavior input and insight to the leadership team
Support and drive regulatory compliance
Drive People Development Strategy for the plant
Capable of identifying gaps and working seamlessly across the plant and business structure to meet goals and objectives
Qualifications:
Years and Type of
Experience:
A minimum of 5 years in a manufacturing environment managing people.
Skills and Abilities:
Must be self-motivated, organized, and capable of delivering results through Burnside employees and contractors.
Education Level/Degree:
BS in Engineering, Business or Human Resources
